Makes approximately 8
(bowl) servings
Ingredients:

2 tbsp olive oil
-
3 lbs ground meat
-
1 medium yellow onion,
chopped
-
1/2 green bell pepper,
chopped
-
1/4 cup jalapeño
pepper, chopped

3 cups tomato sauce
-
3 cups water
-
2 tbsp salt
-
2 tbsp black pepper
-
1 tbsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp Tony Chachere's
-
1.5 oz Maxine's chili
powder
-
1 tsp sugar

Heat the oil in a
large dutch oven over medium heat
-
Place ground meat
in pot and season with 1 tbsp salt and 1 tbsp pepper. Brown
and drain

Add onion, green
bell pepper and jalapeño pepper and sauté for
4 minutes

Add tomato sauce
and stir
-
Add remaining salt
and pepper, garlic powder, Tony Chachere's, chili powder and
sugar and stir
-
Add water and stir
until all is incorporated and bring to a boil

Let simmer for at
least one hour over low heat.
